OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition

For the last few years we've seen a McLaren branded version of OnePlus's flagship phones. There's typically not anything too different from these models, but they do get a unique design and will pack in the highest amount of RAM and storage that OnePlus offers.

That might be coming to an end, though.

No more McLaren OnePlus phones

McLaren has a partner page listed on their website, and OnePlus is surprisingly absent from the list of F1 Racing partners on that page from the last month or so. What's going on there?

There are a couple explanations here. It could've just been an accident, and OnePlus will make a return here. It could also be intentional, and McLaren will still be partnering with OnePlus for a custom OnePlus 8T later this year.

The most likely explanation is that the partnership has been terminated, and we won't be seeing it make a return for the foreseeable future. OnePlus might still have some special editions cooking, but it won't be a McLaren phone.

End of an era, although I can't imagine those McLaren phones were flying off shelves. They were glorified advertisements more than anything, and both companies might have simply decided that it wasn't worth the marketing budget going forward.
