OnePlus 8

Ever since the OnePlus 6 launched back in 2018 sporting a glass rear panel, fans have wondered why wireless charging wasn't present. It's a theme that has continued through multiple launches culminating in the recent OnePlus 7T back in October. With the rumor mill having started up already for the OnePlus 8, a new leak shows that at least one of the three mooted variants could finally sport wireless charging.

A tweet from Max J. (@Samsung_News_), adds weight to the previous rumors that OnePlus was planning on adding wireless charging to at least one of the upcoming OnePlus 8 handsets. This means that OnePlus will actually make use of the glass rear panel instead of it merely being present for cosmetic purposes. While the tweet shows a phone on top of the wireless charging pad, Max says that it is just a placeholder and not the actual OnePlus 8 phone.

It's a feature that OnePlus fans have been asking for since the OnePlus 6 launched almost two years ago. Something else that we've been asking for is an official IP rating instead of the vague ‘you can splash it' comment.

What other features have you been waiting for OnePlus to include in their smartphones?
