Anker crams a Fire TV into a soundbar, in case you really don't like Android TV 4

Anker has announced a new Nebula Soundbar that wants to do a little more than just make your TV sound better. Nope, this soundbar is more in line with JBL's Link Bar, but with Amazon Fire TV instead of Android TV, for better or worse. It's cheaper, too.

The Nebula Soundbar is a 2.1 soundbar that will pretty honestly end up being pretty similar to their other Soundcore Infini soundbars. You're getting stereo channels with two built-in subwoofers and 100W of sound, but it does only have a single HDMI Out/ARC port. Can't run anything else through this, so if your TV doesn't have ARC then you'll only be using the Fire TV OS.

But like any other Fire TV 4K Stick, you're getting full 4K HDR in Amazon's supported apps, Alexa integration and voice control on the remote, and a very slim package. For a lot of people, something like this makes tons of sense.

Personally I'm much more in the Android TV camp, but with how big Amazon's ecosystem is getting, I can see this being a pretty great cord-cutting option for users over the holiday season. You can expect it to go on sale in November for $229.
