The latest of Google's UI refreshes has yielded a whiteout for the Google Play Store to likely receive a dark mode soon, a bottom tab bar, and a few small tweaks.
Well, the newest UI refresh for one of Google's apps is here, and as with all of them it has made a Google app entirely white (and potentially dark grey if/when the dark mode arrives).
With a new bottom tab bar instead of the badly designed dual-layered top tab bar as well as many other small tweaks, the Play Store's new 15.1.24 update is certainly an improvement even just for the simplification it gives to many screens, but hopefully the whiteout refresh means we will see a dark mode soon.
I need my dark mode.
The 15.1.24 update certainly brings the UI far more inline with (most) of Google's other apps though, and if you haven't received it then you can download it from APKMirror here.

And another top search box that isn’t uniform with the rest of Google’s apps that use one. Gmail, Contacts and now the Play Store are all mismatching now and it’s infuriating.
I know right, I hate it too and I don’t understand how Google’s devs miss stuff like that.
