Check out the Huawei Mate 20 Pro with triple cameras and a slick paint job

Huawei’s Mate 20 Pro has surfaced showing off a sleek looking twilight finish and an advanced array of three cameras on the rear of the device. We knew it was coming with Huawei pushing for more and more cameras in their devices, but now we’ll get to see it in action very soon.

First up, though, let’s talk about everything else we know about the phone.

Yes, there’s definitely a notch. The phone is rumored to pack either a 6.3-inch or 6.9-inch display, although that confusion could be from the Pro and non-Pro model. There’s also supposed to be a fingerprint scanner under the display, so Huawei’s jumping on that bandwagon, too. Oh, and it’s a high-res OLED.

Huawei will be using the 7nm Kirin 980 CPU in the Mate 20 Pro that was previously announced at IFA 2018, so we’re also expecting some very high-end performance an AI features.

But the camera is really going to be the selling point here, especially in that striking squared formation on the back of the phone. There are three cameras and an LED flash arranged in a box shape, and this setup should allow for some pretty nifty camera tricks in a smartphone. It’s rumored to have a 5x optical zoom, aperture sizes of f/1.8 to f/2.4 and focal lengths of 16mm to 80mm. That’s gibberish, I know, but it means that you’re going to see some serious improvements in low light performance and a much better wide angle experience.

We’re still in the speculation part of the Mate 20 Pro’s rumor cycle, although know we do know what it looks like and that it will come in a black, blue, and twilight finish. We only have to wait until October 16th to find out the rest.
