Cue the Galaxy S 5 rumors. The latest about Samsung's impending flagship device suggests Samsung will be including a brand new line of 14 nm processors in the GS5, which is tentatively going to be the Exynos 6 line of CPUs. Samsung's current chips are 24 nm, and they were reportedly working on 20 nm chips, so if they're planning on shrinking things down to a 14 nm CPU, that's a fairly large jump. It'll keep the same big.LITTLE octa-core architecture of Sammy's current Exynos chips, but yes, it can also run with all 8 cores running at once.
The sample units of these chips are expecting to hit production phases at the end of this year, with the S5 to be the first device to be released to the public with Exynos 6 under the hood. Personally, I think that time table is cutting it pretty close and wouldn't give Samsung any room for error, but anything can happen.

“Samsungs impending device”… yeah nice one, 6 months away is really “impending” right? The Nexus 5 is an impending device, stop writing such dribble please and edit before you publish
Published rumors last week were that it will be January, although I would say this rumor calls that into question. I hope they have a backup plan. (Actually I don’t really care.)
