MyBackup Pro for Android takes care of all your backup needs [Hands on Video]

There are essential apps that every smartphone owner needs to have, and a backup app is one of those. We’ve all been in situations where we need to do a factory reset on our phone/tablet or maybe you’re buying a new phone and would like your settings, text messages, and other important files to easily move over.

Look no further because MyBackup Pro by RerWare is simply the best one out there for the money. With MyBackup Pro you can backup your applications, photos, contacts, call log, browser bookmarks, SMS (text messages), MMS (message attachments), calendar, system Settings, home screens (including shortcut positions), alarms, dictionary, music playlists, and more. The good news is that you don’t have to be rooted, but if you are, you will have more advantages like backing up apks and app data. Non rooted users can still backup certain apps if the developer integrates with MyBackup Pro. Apps like AK Notepad, Note Everything, Meridian Player, and OI apps are already integrated and can easily be backed up

RerWare takes things a step further by giving you the ability to save your backups to your SD card/internal storage or their online servers. The online server option is the best protection because if you lose your device, you will still have access to your files for restoring to your new device. RerWare gives you 100MB for free with the option of purchasing 250MB for $10 per year or 1GB for $20 per year. Last but not least, you can schedule automatic daily or weekly backups so you can feel satisfied knowing your files are always backed up.

MyBackup Pro is hands down the best backup app available in the Android Market. It’s priced at $4.99, but you can also try their free version which allows you to backup and restore to only one device for 30 days. Check out my hands on video and for more information, please visit the RerWare site and/or hit the download links below.

Robert lives in upstate New York where he was born and raised. Technology was always his passion. His first computer was a Radio Shack TRS80 Color that used a cassette tape to save programs, and his first laptop was a Toshiba T1200FB that sported a CGA greyscale screen and two 720kb floppy drives (no hardrive). From the early 90’s through late 2011, he only owned Motorola phones starting with the MircroTAC all the way through to the Droid X. He broke that streak when he bought the Galaxy Nexus. Now he's sporting a Galaxy Note 4, and absolutely loves it. He has a wonderful wife and a 6 year old son. In his free time he enjoys sports, movies, TV, working out, and trying to keep up with the rapid fast world of technology.

How does it compare to Titanium backup? The interface looks much cleaner but feature-wise, what are the main differences?

    Very nice review…
Mybackup pro is one of the best of not the best backup app for Android. Comparing to Titanium, Mybackup Pro will work on both non-root and rooted phones (Titanium only works on root) for rooted phones MyBackup Pro will be more powerful as you can backup both the apps apk + data files

GREAT TOOL! Used this for the first time yesterday before upgrading to a new phone. Worked perfectly, did exactly what it said it would, and I couldn’t be more pleased! If you buy extra cloud storage space, they have to move it from the old phone PIN to the new phone PIN: They did this within 10 minutes after I contacted them on a Sunday morning! Awesome support!
