The Galaxy Note 8 has finally caught up to Samsung’s latest software, which means most users should be on Android 8.0 Oreo by now. With that out of the way, it’s time for Samsung to stay on top of security updates.
The April 2018 update has started to roll out for certain Galaxy Note 8 models, and that typically means that the rest of the models worldwide will follow relatively quickly, although that’s no guarantee if you’re in a country or on a carrier with a particularly bad track record of getting out updates.
So if you’re using a Galaxy Note 8, keep an eye out for any update notifications. It wouldn’t hurt to manually check every once in awhile, either.
