It no longer takes a professional camera or even a camcorder to be a creator. Now everyone is a maker, according to Samsung. All that's necessary is your phone. Because of it, you can unlock endless capabilities to share your life with the rest of the world.

Samsung Galaxy: The Rest of Us
During the 89th Academy Awards ceremony, Samsung aired a television advertisement starring internet personality Casey Neistat. The two have long had a working relationship as Neistat's following on YouTube and social media is massive. Samsung loves having him use its products and share his experiences with the masses. Tonight, though, a special message was created by the duo.
Neistat approaches a microphone and goes over the journey of makers proving doubters wrong. At the end, he says “When we're told we can't, we all have the same answer: watch me.”

Furthermore, the Samsung-Neistat advertisement is impressive because every cut was shot on the Galaxy S7, the company's 2016 flagship.
The Oscars, in recent years, have been a popular spot for technology companies to launch big-budget, memorable advertisements. In 2016, Samsung aired three hilarious spots starring award-winning actor William H. Macy. And earlier today, Google posted its own Best Picture video to promote Google Photos. In previous years, Samsung used the night to highlight its latest and greatest products. Now, with the Galaxy S8 awaiting its launch date, the company went with a more general ad that still stuck due to its message's magnitude.
If you're watching the Oscars, keep an eye on the other television advertisements. It's possible we get a surprise or two from Google and Samsung.
