A recent report from MobiPicker claims that the successor of the LG G Pro 2 phablet, the LG G Pro 3 will be unveiled by the end of this year. According to the report, the G Pro 3 will sport a 6-inch Quad HD display (1440×2560 pixels), and will run on the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC. In addition to those high-end specs, the G Pro 3 will pack 4GB RAM, 32GB of minimum storage capacity (with a MicroSD slot for expansion), and a 20.7 megapixel rear camera and 8 megapixel front camera. The G Pro 3 will also reportedly feature a fingerprint scanner and come with Android 5.1. Finally, the pricing of the device has been estimated to be around $790, although these claims might not hold true.

As an owner of both the g2 and g3, I will say that I really liked the Gpro2. The textures back is perfect if you are going to stick with plastic. I played with one a few times in my travels to Asia and was jealous that we didn’t get it in the states. Maybe the Gpro3 will come here? Not likely, if there really is a Note competitor coming from LG.
