Android devices are driving development and carrier release of 4G and LTE networks across the US. As it turns out, the Motorola Droid is the top device in use, followed by the HTC Evo with 12% of all Android traffic.
The following chart shows the different Android devices and the share they have for wireless traffic. Something to note is that 16% of all traffic has the ability to download and surf the net from the device. Also, most of these devices are on Sprint’s network, but T-Mobile is following closely behind, and may move ahead with the launch of 4G.
