New photo of HTC One M8 Prime next to One M8 leaks on Twitter

We had originally thought the HTC One M8 Prime was cancelled (or at least postponed), but according to a new leak by @HTCFamily_RU, the phone is alive and kickin’.

Pictured next to the One M8, it’s clearly a bit bigger, matching its previously leaked specs:

A 1440 x 2560 resolution display, 3GB of RAM, a quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor, LTE-A Cat. 6 connectivity and a Duo Camera on the back.

The leak doesn’t confirm or deny anything regarding whether the phone is going to be making a comeback or not, but we’d guess that it will be. Pricing, launch date and availability aren’t known, but we do know that HTC is planning on releasing a new flagship in the 2nd half of 2014, so we could see this later in the year.

if ever this ‘prime’ version push through, duo camera must bump its MP or they’ll just defeat the purpose of using that 2k display along with the 805 snapdragon

The new HTC J(apan)-Butterfly has a 13MP dual camera. I haven’t seen any tests from it yet but it might be a good indicator

THIS will replace my Note 3 if the Note 4/isn’t a VERY nice and much better build quality. HTC hands down makes some of the best hardware design of any phone and one that’s this close to the Note 3/4 is going to be AMAZING. And the sound? yeah…nothing even comes close to an HTC with beats speaker built in.

Liking the look of the HTC Prime. I’m just wondering what the size is? It’s clearly going to be a trade off between the Note 4 and HTC Prime should the Note 4 fall short of people’s expectations as was the S5
