Google Glass purchases were recently opened up to anyone in the U.S., but the big question has always been…When will it actually be available at the retail level? Well that day might be coming real soon, and AT&T is likely to one such place that you will be able to go and grab one. Unfortunately no other retailers were mentioned, but what we do know is that AT&T will be “one of the first locations,” which implies that they won't be the only place. However, they could get exclusivity for a limited time.
As to when you will be able to walk into your local AT&T store and grab one is anyone's guess, but I would expect an announcement at Google I/O regarding this. It seems like the perfect time to announce the retail launch.
Now it would be nice if the price gets cut, but that is most likely wishful thinking unless Google doesn't mind ticking off everyone who recently bought one.

The big question has always been: ‘Why?’
As a prescription glasses wearer for 52 years, I’ve had ample opportunity to use the reflection in my lenses to see what is behind me. You cannot focus on that image (with one eye) and focus on the blackboard (while I was in school). My eyes would hurt when I would try to do that. Never tried it while driving, it was obvious attempting that would end in disaster. I think that’s what will happen with these devices, it’s gonna take a few disaster to realize this is a mistake.
