Although most device manufacturers would classify a device with a 7-inch screen as a tablet, Samsung appears to be intent on introducing a 7-inch Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 (or possibly Galaxy Mega 7.0 or Galaxy W) that will be considered a smartphone. The device was just recently cleared by the FCC, so it looks like it is definitely heading to the U.S. market.
The leaked image comes from a case maker who is working on their accessories to be ready for the device's launch. The unit shown in the image is labeled for China Mobile, so it looks like China will be getting a version of the device in addition to South Korea where it may be marketed as the Samsung Galaxy W. You may also notice the strong resemblance, especially in terms of the bezels, this device has with Samsung's smartphone models versus their tablet devices.
Samsung has an event scheduled for June 12th to introduce a new series of tablet devices. Since the Galaxy Mega 2 may be considered a smartphone by Samsung, it is unclear whether the device would be announced at that event.

Really 7 inches.. That’s way too big. My note 2 is 5.5. I think those sizes are good for men/women that are really tall and have big hands. Cause other phones like iPhone is a joke in a tall persons hand.
I agree. I also have a note 2, and at 6’1 its perfect. 7in is just ridiculous. Now they are getting silly with it. But, in their defense, When the note came out that was considered ridiculous and now its normal..
Look at the bright side, it can double up as a skate board
