Recently, some images surfaced for Sony’s latest and greatest, the “Honami’, but we now have more information about the device thanks to a system dump from the Canadian version with a model number of C6906. It looks like they will reveal a brand new UI that will feature a new launcher and app tray. There will also be new apps for the clock, album, conversations, phonebook, settings, calendar, and Walkman. That’s not all as it appears they have some sort of augmented reality app and a new app called Info-eye. Info-eye is a visual search app based on kooaba, which is a leading image recognition platform. It will give you more information about places and landmarks around you. This app was revealed in the latest press render that we showed you over the weekend.
The system dump also revealed some of the specs, which isn’t anything different from what we have heard. It will sport a Snapdragon 800 CPU and sport a 20MP camera. Something we haven’t heard is the ability to record 4K (4000 x 2000) video with an aspect ration of 2:1. They will also be adding Timeshift burst, which is some sort of burst shooting that lets you shift back and forth in time.
The ‘Honami” sounds like a serious contender, but is it going to be just another Sony device that doesn’t make its way to the U.S.? Hit the beak for some images, but you will find a lot more at the source link.
