Orange UK To Offer HTC Hero From July, More Android Phones On The Way

orange htc heroOrange UK have today officially announced that they will offer the HTC Hero from early July. According to the press release, the HTC Hero will be available in a graphite finish exclusive to the network. It is not currently known whether different colored models will be available.

The handset will be free to new customers as part of a two-year contract priced at £39.15 per month. The 2-year package will also include 1200 any network call minutes, unlimited texts, as well as inclusive anytime internet browsing.

orange-htc-hero.jpg Orange have also revealed that the HTC Hero won't be their only Android powered handset to launch on the network this year.

Francois Mahieu, Director of Devices, Orange UK said, “We’re really pleased to be launching our first Android handset in conjunction with HTC. The first of several Android devices you can expect from us this year, we believe the Hero is a great all round device which will allow consumers to get to grips with all the things they love about the internet, whilst on the move. We expect it to be extremely popular when it hits shelves this summer.”

Earlier today, T-Mobile UK also confirmed their plans to offer the HTC Hero from July. Dubbed the G1Touch, the handset will be available free to new customers from £40 per month on their Flext tariff including unlimited internet browsing.
