Play Store Downloads Hits 25 Billion, Google To Celebrate By Offering 25 Cent Apps and Games

 


It’s time to break out the bubbly and party favors as Google has just achieved another major milestone. As Google now has 675,000 apps and games available in the Play Store, it can now lay claim to having over a whopping 25 billion downloads. This means as the number of Android users continues to trend upwards, so too the number of downloads in the Play Store. To celebrate this joyous feat, Google has announced major discounts of popular apps and games over the next five days. Users will be able to find offerings from developers such as Gameloft, Electronic Arts, Rovio, runtastic, Full Fat and more– for just 25¢ each. In addition, Google will also be offer some special collections like 25 movies you must own, 25 banned books, 25 albums that changed the world and our 25 top selling magazines, all at special prices.

The special deals aren’t up in the Play Store just yet— but should be available at some point later today.
