Browsing the web is a boredom killer, and also a hobby for most. There’s no limit to what you can discover online. Recently, it's become a sport Google wants to simplify with Gemini.
In a new development, the company is now letting AI take the wheel and handle the scrolling for you. Other interesting features are also coming to Chrome. Let's unpack all of them.
Surf the web without a skateboard… or your hands
Today, Google announced on their blog that they're launching Chrome Auto Browse. The new feature is AI-powered and lets the browser handle complex tasks on your behalf.
It can navigate websites and help you shop or plan events automatically. It's built on the multimodal Gemini 3, which can understand different input types and context from your previous instructions to predict what you want.
Gemini 3 is a family of models, and includes Gemini 3 Pro and Gemini 3 Flash. Pro has deeper reasoning and complex problem-solving capabilities, while Flash is faster and cheaper.

For example, if you’re looking for a pet-friendly apartment, Auto Browse can search listings and filter out the ones that don’t meet your criteria. Then it organizes the results for you to save hours of scrolling and clicking.
In one video demonstration, they demonstrated the AI filling out a kickball tournament registration on Google Form. Gemini is prompted to complete the form with information from an uploaded team roster document.
Auto Browse can also scan images that inspire you, and recognize items in them. It'll add them to your shopping cart automatically and apply discount codes to save you money.

That said, you’re still in control of sensitive actions such as making the final purchase and posting content on social media. So it’s not like your browser will place dozens of orders on its own or share anything without your approval.
Likewise, If any of the tasks require you to log in to a website, Auto Browse can use Google Password Manager to sign in for you with permission.
Nano Banana is also coming to Chrome
Auto Browse is currently only available to Gemini AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers in the US. At least, until this preview phase is over and it's ready for public release.
If you've received it, click the Gemini icon in the upper right corner of the browser to access the new sidebar. Then type what you want to do in the text box and watch magic happen.
Chrome is advancing beyond simple tasks to helping with agentic action, allowing you to offload complex travel logistics or get help with professional workflows.

Besides the feature, Nano Banana will also join Gemini in Chrome to let you transform images directly. Chrome now also has deeper integrations with Gmail, Calendar, YouTube, Maps, Google Shopping, Google Flights and other apps in the suite.
Gemini can pull context from them to help you plan trips, draft emails, check schedules, or find information across multiple platforms.Access all of them from the sidebar without switching tabs.
