Acer is doubling down on ChromeOS in the enterprise. The company has announced the new Chromebook Plus Enterprise 714 lineup — a premium thin-and-light series aimed at organisations scaling Google-powered productivity and secure cloud workflows. Alongside it, the Chromebook Plus Enterprise 514 is now officially rolling out in North America.

Both lines combine business-class ChromeOS features, Google AI and Gemini integration, and hardened security with MIL-STD 810H durability. And crucially, they unlock the full Chrome Enterprise Upgrade suite out of the box, giving IT teams granular control, seamless provisioning, and managed security without requiring extra licensing steps.

Built for the modern enterprise — with AI at the centre

ChromeOS continues to lean into AI productivity, and Acer’s latest hardware is designed around that reality. Employees receive Gemini-powered tools for writing, meetings, and search, along with a Quick Insert key that allows them to drop in prompts, tools, and assets on the fly.

Meanwhile, Cameyo support enables businesses to securely run legacy Windows apps, Linux tools, internal applications, and SaaS platforms alongside cloud-native workflows — no VDI pain, no VPN sprawl.
