If there's anywhere that most people need the fastest internet they can get, it is at home. It's where you stream movies in 4K, it's where you play competitive games online, it's where you download massive files. Getting 5G Home Internet can be a major convenience, but you might consider it too expensive.

If you're a T-Mobile subscriber, the carrier is offering you a pretty sweet deal on your 5G Home Internet. They'll be giving you the chance to get it for as low as $30 a month, and you can even upgrade to the Plus tier for just $50 a month.

My favorite kinds of deals are the ones where you don't really need to do anything special to be able to take advantage of a freebie or a discount. This new offer from T-Mobile is exactly one of those. If you have a postpaid voice line with the carrier and AutoPay is enabled, you'll be eligible right away to take advantage of a discount on a 5G Home Internet plan.

Normally, T-Mobile's 5G Home Internet plan would set you back by $30 every month, but now, with the promotion that's currently running, you'll be able to get yourself on the plan for just $30. For 5G Home Internet, that is cheap, there's really no other way to put it since it's a 50% discount. If you don't have a voice line, but you have already have a Home Internet line, you can still take advantage of this on a second Home Internet line.

For some people, the regular Home Internet plan hardly gives them what they need, especially if they live in a household with quite a few people. If that's the case, there's also a discount at play for the 5G Home Internet Plus plan. In this case, it is only a $20 discount on what was originally a $70 price tag each month. That comes to $50 monthly, which is still a good deal for what you get. After all, 5G is the future.

Here's What Makes T-Mobile's Home Internet Plan Different From The Plus Tier

T-Mobile has two major 5G Home Internet plans that you can take advantage of. Home Internet Unlimited is the base plan, and as you might expect, with it, you get unlimited data along with a physical 5G Wi-Fi router to connect your devices to at home. There's a one-time fee of $35 to get the router and have it connected.

But hey, for some people, their internet needs are a lot more demanding than what the base plan offers. In these cases, you can upgrade to the Home Internet Plus plan instead. You still pay $35 for the router, but it is a “high-performance” 5G router in this case (though the speeds you get seem to be the same). Perhaps it's done to the fact that you also get mesh router compatibility, which can expand the signal range for bigger homes.

You also get around-the-clock tech support for all your Wi-Fi-connected devices. So, that's not too bad a deal, but most people will be fine with the base plan, and at that price, I would be too.
