Firefly is a five-star fire element character who follows the Path of Destruction. She joined the Stellaron Hunters in search of the meaning of life, relentlessly pursuing ways to defy fate.

Keep in mind that Firefly is best paired with Harmony Trailblazer. Although not completely necessary, investing in Harmony Trailblazer is best if you aim for her full potential.

Here are Firefly's best relic set, planar, and light cone:

The 4-piece Iron Cavalry Against the Scourge is the best relic set for Firefly. It increases the Break Effect and ignores the enemy target's DEF, giving her the needed boost to her BE% and DEF shred. This setup is perfect for a break-focused build.

The Forge of the Kalpagni Lantern provides the wearer with increased SPD, and when the enemy target has a fire weakness, the wearer's BE% is increased by 40%. This Planar Set will help reach Firefly's desired SPD breakpoint without sacrificing too much on relic substats. However, if you have already reached your desired SPD without the Planar, then opt for Talia.

The Whereabouts Should Dreams Rest is Firefly's signature light cone, significantly boosting her Break Effect and damage. Break Effect is a crucial game mechanic that allows you to deal more damage to enemies. Is getting her signature light cone necessary? If you're aiming for maximum performance with a high BE%, then yes, you should get her signature light cone. Other alternative options can be obtained for free, but Firefly will have a lower damage output with those.

Note: What's amazing with Break Effect character like Firefly is you wouldn't need CRIT in your build since it does not scale from that. Focus on building and stacking more Break Effect. A bit of ATK is needed for additional bonuses on Firefly's ability.

Firefly Alternate Light Cones

Light ConeEffects
Honkai Star Rail on the fall of an aeon
On the Fall of an Aeon

Whenever the wearer attacks, their ATK is increased by 8 – 16% in this battle, up to 4 time(s).

When the wearer inflicts Weakness Break on enemies, the wearer's DMG increases by 12 – 24% for 2 turn(s).

Obtained From: Herta's Store
At S5, On the Fall of an Aeon provides the needed ATK boost that enhances damage through Firefly's Core Overload, granting an additional Break Effect for every 10 ATK. Although it's not as powerful as Firefly's signature light cone, it is easy to obtain and is the best free-to-play alternative.
Honkai Star Rail Light Cone indelible Promise
Indelible Promise
Increases the wearer's Break Effect by 28 – 56%. When the wearer uses their Ultimate, increases CRIT Rate by 15 – 30%, lasting for 2 turns.

Obtained From: Stellar Warp
Best at S5, Indelible Promise gives a huge Break Effect%. If you don't have On the Fall of an Aeon, opt for Indelible Promise. Unfortunately, this light cone can only be obtained through Stellar Warp.
Honkai Star Rail Light Cone Something Irreplaceable
Something Irreplaceable
Increases the wearer's ATK by 24 – 40%. When the wearer defeats an enemy or is hit, immediately restores HP equal to 8 – 12% of the wearer's ATK.

At the same time, the wearer's DMG is increased by 24 – 40% until the end of their next turn. This effect cannot stack and can only trigger 1 time per turn.

Obtained From: Stellar Warp
It's not the most ideal, but if you don't have On the Fall of an Aeon available, use Something Irreplaceable. The ATK will be converted into the needed Break Effect.r Light Cone.

Firefly Alternate Relic Set

DEF Ignore

(4-piece) Genius of Brilliant Stars
(2) Increases Quantum DMG by 10%.

(4) When the wearer deals DMG to the target enemy, ignores 10% DEF. If the target enemy has Quantum Weakness, the wearer additionally ignores 10% DEF.
Genius of Brilliant Stars should be a decent alternative for its DEF ignore since Break does not scale off of CRIT. The downside is you won't have a guaranteed quantum weakness on enemies since Firefly's best lineup does not include Silver Wolf or any quantum character.

Break Effect

(2-piece) Thief of Shooting Meteor
(2) Increases Break Effect by 16%
Sacrificing Energy Regeneration from 4-piece Theif comes with an additional BE%. With (2) Watchmaker and (2) Thief, you get a permanent 32% increase in Break Effect.

Firefly Alternate Planetary Set

Planetary SetEffects
Talia: Kingdom of Banditry planar ornaments set's icon from Honkai: Star Rail.
(2-piece) Talia: Kingdom of Banditry
(2) Increases the wearer's Break Effect by 16%. When the wearer's SPD reaches 145 or higher, the wearer's Break effect increases by an extra 20%.
As mentioned, Talia: Kingdom of Banditry is understandably the next option for Planetary Set. It's a bit weaker than Forge of Kalpagni as it doesn't come with an SPD bonus, but if you have already reached the SPD breakpoint, Talia is your best option. It gives a solid break effect and more once your SPD reaches 145.

Firefly Best Team

Ruan Mei provides RES PEN, which is great for boosting Firefly's Break. With the enemy delay, you can hit first before they can deal damage, increasing your survivability. Some may argue that Harmony Trailblazer isn't the best support, but they're the key to unleashing Firefly's full potential. They dramatically jump her Break Effect, allowing her to release an insane damage output. Gallagher would be the best sustain for a skill-point-hungry Firefly unless you went beyond E0. Then a lack of skill points shouldn't be an issue.
