Here with a brand new Chromebook that's targeted at the cloud gaming market is Lenovo whose IdeaPad Chromebook packs in a big 16-inch display with 120Hz refresh rate, and quad speakers, and is powered by 12th Gen Intel Core i5 and i3 chipsets. There's support for cloud gaming services such as Amazon Luna, GeForce Now, and Xbox Cloud Gaming although Google Stadia is naturally omitted now seeing as it's headed for the scrapyard.

Designed for cloud gaming, the 16-inch IdeaPad Chromebok is capable of supporting AAA titles and multiplayer online battle arena games, with its Full HD 120Hz IPS display which has a taller 16:10 aspect ratio. 12th Gen Intel Core i3 and i5 processors are paired up with 8GB of LPDDR4z memory, and 256/512GB of SSD storage or 128GB of eMMC storage. You can expand the storage via the MicroSD card slot, and there sa pair of USB-C 3.2 PD ports, as well as a couple of USB-A 3.2 slots.

There's WiFi 6E support for low latency internet, and there's even an RGB lit keyboard which has four zones of lighting, 1.5mm of key travel, and an anti-ghosting feature to help ensure every keypress is recognized. Four speakers are present to make sure every footstep or tyre squeal is heard, and there's also a 3.5mm audio jack included.

Weighing in at 1.82kg, the IdeaPad Gaming Chromebook sports an anodized aluminum top cover and is capable of up to 11 hours of usage.

As mentioned, the IdeaPad Gaming Chromebook supports cloud gaming services such as Amazon Luna, Nvidia's GeForce Now, and Xbox Cloud Gaming. It will support Stadia until Google shuts the service down in January 2023. I'm guessing Lenovo (and Acer) weren't too happy with the search giant killing off Stadia the week before the launch of this gaming-focused Chromebook.

In the US, the Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming Chromebook will go on sale from $599.
