If you've been given a subscription for Google Play Music (GPM) and have found out that the service will begin being phased out during September, have no fear; Google has got your back. Instead of leaving you out in the cold, the search giant will, according to one Reddit user, convert your GPM subscription into a YouTube Music sub, and even gift you with some Play Store credit.
According to Reddit user, Sevs, Google converted the remaining time on his GPM subscription into YouTube Music for the same length of time. On top of that, Customer Service also stated via email that Google would convert the remaining value of the GPM subscription into Google Play credit from September onward with a code attached worth $150. This credit would need to be redeemed by December 31, 2021.
If you have a Play Music subscription that you received as a gift or perhaps bought for yourself, it may be worth getting in touch with Google's Customer Service team to see if you can get a similar offer. Let us know how you go in the comments below.
