Amidst their continual Material Design 2.0 redesigns of their app suite and additions of dark modes, Google has tweaked the Google Photos overflow menu for much improved reachability.
Google has been gradually making its way through its app ecosystem and refreshing their UIs with Material Design 2.0 and occasionally adding dark modes, but now Google has gone back and improved one of the apps which has already seen a redesign by redesigning and reintegrating the overflow menu in Google Photos:
Old and disparate 
New and unified
As you can see, the new UI is not only more reachable and attractive, it has also been unified with the EXIF data accessed from swiping up on an image being viewed; a great improvement in every aspect.
The visual tweak has been found in a staged rollout to users rather than in an app update; hopefully it's not just a test and hopefully we'll start seeing more usability improvements like this to more Google apps soon.
