Google finally rolls out the delayed Childish Gambino AR Playmoji 3

You might remember last year when Google showed off their new augmented reality Playmoji, and they demoed a Childish Gambino “sticker” that would bring the star to anywhere that you could point your camera. They immediately stopped talking about it and pretended like they never even mentioned it.

Fast forward to early 2019, and Google brought that idea back from the dead, or whatever rug it was swept under, with an ad during the Grammy's. They showed off that Childish Gambino Playmoji once again, just a couple days after making it available for anyone to download from the Google Play Store. As long as you have a Google Pixel, anyway.

The Playmoji is available on all Pixel phones, ranging from the original Pixel and Pixel XL to the newer Pixel 3 lineup. It's actually showing as available to download on some of my other Android devices (a couple OnePlus phones and the Nokia 7.1, oddly enough) but to access it you'll need the Pixel camera, so I don't think you can actually access it on those devices.

So if you've been waiting all this time to party with an augmented reality Donald Glover, it's time to get started.
