Haven't been impressed by the notches on the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T? Well, there's good news for anyone hanging on to the OnePlus 5 or OnePlus 5T; OnePlus is officially rolling out Android Pie to those devices.
The update includes OxygenOS 9.0, so you're also getting some OnePlus goodness on top of everything that Android Pie brings to the table.
This all means that you're getting new navigation gestures (on the 5T) and the UI from Android 9.0, an adjustable Do Not Disturb mode, Gaming Mode 3.0, Google Lens integration, and much more.
- System
- Updated system to Android™ 9 Pie™
- Brand new UI for Android Pie
- Brand new navigation gestures (Available for OnePlus 5T only)
- Updated Android security patch to 2018.12
- Other new features and system improvements
- New Gaming mode 3.0
- Added text notification mode
- Added notification for 3rd party calls
- Do Not Disturb mode
- New Do Not Disturb (DND) mode with adjustable settings
- Camera
- Integrated Google Lens mode
OnePlus always rolls these updates out in stages, so if you don't see it right away, don't panic. It'll take a few days for the entire population of OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T devices to get their taste of pie, but keep an eye out for that notification in the meantime.
