Nokia has announced that the Nokia 5.1 Plus is starting to receive its Android Pie upgrade, bringing the device software up to version 9.0 with all the latest security patches and features. It's also another step in Nokia's trend of keeping most of their phones updated with the latest version of Android, even in the budget-friendly range.
This update brings everything you expect from Android Pie, including the adaptive brightness and battery and Slices, plus security patches to keep your phone safe. Nokia doesn't tend to put too much fluff into their software, so most of what you can expect from the update comes from Android 9.0.
If you have a Nokia 5.1 Plus, keep an eye out for that notification that your update is ready. And if you're on an un-updated Nokia device, hopefully Nokia keeps this up and gets their entire portfolio updated over the next few months.
