Samsung Pay continues to expand, this time to Italy 3

Samsung Pay is an integral part of the Galaxy experience, and they've been toiling away trying to bring it to more and more markets. The latest addition to the company's mobile payment system will now allow it to be used in Italy, bringing Samsung Pay to a total of 21 locations around the world.

Samsung Pay stands out in a very crowded market thanks to its ability to emulate a regular credit card, which means retailer terminals don't need to be updated with NFC to take advantage of it. In some countries that isn't such a big deal, but in the US where cards are still lagging behind PIN and chip technology, that's a huge positive.

To top that off, Samsung offers a ton of rewards and incentives for Samsung Pay users. So even if you aren't particularly concerned about the form of payment, you can still rack up some bonuses just for paying through Samsung's solution. What's not to love?

The rollout makes Samsung Pay available to users on compatible smartphones, like the Galaxy S9, or any of Samsung's compatible smartwatches.
