Manage your podcasts directly inside the Google Search app 4

There are tons of different ways to listen to podcasts on your Android device, whether you're using a third-party application or even Google's own music streaming service. But for many people, something without a subscription or service attached to it is a more attractive option, and it can be even more appealing when it's built into something that they already use every day.

Google gets this, and so they added the ability to play podcasts directly in the Google Search app. Taking that a step further, now any of you using the Google app for your podcasts will be able to actually manage those subscriptions right from within the app, too.

It's pretty basic functionality and works exactly like you'd expect; you can add a shortcut to the podcast directly to your home screen, edit your subscriptions, and continue playback from where you left off, replacing the need for any other apps to handle it. We're pretty hopeful the last playback position will be remembered across devices so you can pick up on your Google Home, too.

Like most Google updates, this one's slowly rolling out to users, so if you don't have it yet, just sit tight. It's coming.
