Lenovo’s Moto Z2 Play is now available to pre-order from Verizon

Having been announced by Lenovo just a few short weeks ago, you can now pre-order the Moto Z2 Play from Verizon and take delivery of the handset by July 7th. As you might expect, Lenovo has continued with the Moto Z design language, and the Moto Z2 Play is naturally compatible with a range of Moto Mods.

With its all-metal design, 5.5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, Snapdragon 626 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a 12MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, and a 3,000mAh battery, the Moto Z2 Play offers great value for its $17 monthly payment (2 yr plan) or $408 outright. Besides the handset itself, a TurboPower charger is included that will produce 8 hours worth of battery life with just 15 minutes charge, as well as the JBL SoundBoost 2 attachment worth $79.

Motorola has announced a bunch of new Moto Mods including the Moto GamePad, the aforementioned JBL SoundBoost 2, Moto TurboPower Pack, and Moto Style Shell with Wireless Charging.

Verizon isn’t the only game in town when it comes to ordering the Moto Z2 Play; if you care to wait until the summer you’ll be able to pick up the higher-specced, unlocked version of the Moto Z2 Play directly from Motorola for $499. The unlocked variant features a bump up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage for the increased price.
