With just a few short weeks to go until the BlackBerry Mercury officially launches at MWC 2017 in Barcelona on February 25th, the QWERTY hardware keyboard-toting handset has been spotted making a cameo appearance on Tim Allen's Last Man Standing. The latest episode of the sitcom shows the former Home Improvement star using the Mercury to call his on-screen brother, Jimmy, as spotted by eagle-eyed CrackBerry members.

While BlackBerry hasn't revealed the Mercury's specifications just yet, it has been rumored that it will sport the same Sony IMX378 camera sensor as Google's Pixel. Considering that the Pixel's camera quality is considered to be about the best available at the current time, this would not be a bad thing at all. Other than that, it's believed that the ‘mercury' will use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 625, a processor that's renowned for its power efficiency.

Having first unveiled the handset at CES earlier this month, BlackBerry will reveal the Mercury on February 25th in Barcelona, and we will there to cover the event. What do you think the Mercury's actual name will be? Will BlackBerry settle for calling it the Priv 2? Or will it be an entirely different moniker? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
