OnePlus has just published a new gallery app for its OnePlus 2 handset running OxygenOS v2.2.1, imaginatively named OnePlus Gallery. According to the handset maker, the OnePlus Gallery app is a streamlined, no-nonsense application optimised for offline usage without intrusive advertisements.

OnePlus says that its Gallery app will help you spend more time looking at the content instead of placing images in folders because the app will automatically create collections for each source of content. The app includes a cropping tool, resizing tool, as well as the ability to add your personal touch by drawing on an image.

The initial reaction of early adopters seems to be that the app could do with some refinements and that it is a little laggy, with some users unable to view the thumbnails of their images. So there's obviously some work to be done optimising the app, but hey, it's still early days.

While I don't have a OnePlus 2 to install the OnePlus Gallery app to, the Play Store did state that it was compatible with my Galaxy S5 and the recently reviewed InFocus M810 of all things. So it seems to be a bit of a lottery when it comes to which devices are compatible. Officially, though, the OnePlus Gallery app only supports the OnePlus 2 handset running Oxygen OS v2.2.1. If you've like to give the OnePlus Gallery app a whirl, just click the Play Store link (Here) to get started.
