Runtastic

Runtastic, the extremely popular fitness-tracking app, has today received a rather beefy update via the Play Store. The upgrade brings compatibility for Google's recently-launched ‘Fit' application, in addition to a new “advanced statistics” service, which allows users to monitor performance and progress by comparing current and past time periods.

The first time you launch Runtastic after the update has been installed, you will be asked to provide access to your Google account in order for Fit to view, sync and store activity information, location data, body sensor statistics, timings and travel routes. This should stabilize the erratic and unreliable stats that some Google Fit users have been reporting. To install the update, simply open up the Play Store on your device, toggle the hamburger menu by swiping in from the left-hand side of the screen, select ‘My Apps’ and click on Runtastic. Next, hit the update button, and the application will instantly start to download and install the upgrade from the Google Play servers.
