
Starting today, residents in Canada can pick up HTC’s latest “premium” budget-friendly smartphone, the Desire 510, from TELUS. The operator is offering the handset in grey for free on any of its flexible 2-year contracts or for $200 on any prepaid plan.
For those who need a refresher on its specifications, the Desire 510 packs a 4.7-inch display (480 x 854 pixels), a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset powered by four 1.2GHz Cortex-A53 cores, an Adreno 306 GPU, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and a 2,100 mAh Li-Po battery.
Straight out the box, the device runs the latest build of Android 4.4 KitKat skinned with version 6.0 of HTC’s famous Sense user interface — which incorporates tons of fantastic software tweaks, such as, BlinkFeed, Zoe and Sense TV, to name but a few.
