Last month Sony introduced their “selfie-centric” Sony Xperia C3 smartphone. The Xperia C3 is a mid-range device with an upgraded front-facing camera and some other features for making it more suitable for grabbing selfies. The front-facing camera is a 5MP shooter, but it does come with an 80-degree field of view. Sony also built-in an LED flash for it for low-light situations. On the software side, the Xperia C3 can detect a double tap on the rear panel or a smile to trigger the camera.
Although it appeared at the time of the announcement that China would be the first market to see the device, it looks like Russia managed to slide in there to grab the honor. The device is slated to sell for 13,990 Ruble ($386 USD) starting in early September.
