The HTC J Butterfly was recently unveiled Japan with KDDI, but it could be landing in other destinations soon. The Butterfly hasn't made it's way out of Japan ever since the first iteration. In fact, it winded up being a Verizon DROID-branded product, the DROID DNA, at that time.

Now, however, a leaked press image of the HTC Butterfly 2 seems to indicate it's destined for Europe and/or the U.S. The HTC Butterfly 2 will be essentially the same phone as the One (M8), but it will be made from plastic. That's not necessarily a bad thing since it will also be waterproof. Another major change is that the main rear camera lens will be 13 MP and not Ultra Pixel. However, there will still be a Duo Camera setup.

This is actually the 3rd Butterfly, but since the second edition didn't make it out of Japan, they are referring to it as a “2” for outside markets.
