The beginning of NFL action begins this weekend in Canton, OH at the Hall of Fame Game, and NFL has prepared by releasing an updated version of their NFL Mobile app to the Play Store. The app features a full UI redesign, and leaves all of the functionality that was present on previous years' versions of the app –  access to the latest news and videos, scores and schedules, management of your fantasy football team, and if you’re on Verizon with the NFL Mobile package ($5 per month) live access to select Thursday Night Football games, as well as access to the NFL Network.

The app is free, and you can download it via the Play Store link past the break. The entire changelog is also past the jump.

What's new:

– Access scores, live video, fantasy teams, and news from the redesigned Home
– Live streams of local Sunday CBS and FOX games added for Verizon Premium and MORE Everything subscribers
– Select a team to follow in addition to your favorite team to get team scores, highlights, and news
– Live stream of “Fantasy Live” now available to all NFL Mobile users
