As promised, Max Payne has been released in the Google Play Store. Those of you familiar with the Max Payne don't need an introduction, but in case you aren't, it was originally published by Rockstar Games in 2001. It's a third person action-shooter and is famous for introducing the concept of Bullet Time in video games with its stylish slow-motion gunplay. Of course the dark and twisted stories didn't hurt either. It completely redefined action-shooter games.
As to the story, it's about Max, who is a fugitive undercover cop framed for murder. He's hunted by other cops and the mob. Along the way he fights to clear his name as he struggles to uncover the truth about his slain family amongst many plot-twists.
As you might know Max Payne 3 was released on consoles last month, but Max Payne Mobile is based on the first chapter and is the complete original PC version. It has been enhanced to take full advantage of Android phones and tablets with updated resolutions to run natively in a widescreen format as well as high-resolution textures.
Max Payne Mobile supports a number of Android phones and tablets (see below), but the really good news is that it's also optimized for the NIVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor.
