How to use Screen Write on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Screen Write is a quick way to grab a screenshot from your Galaxy Note 3 and make some annotations on it. You can save it as a jpg image that will be found in your gallery. You can then share it via text messaging, email, or any other app via the sharing menu. You can use Screen Write for sending information on a Web Page such as a chart or a recipe. Whatever is on your screen will be captured, so the possibilities are endless.

All you have to do is open the Air Command by hovering your S Pen over your display while it is on the screen you want to capture. Then press the button on our S Pen, and the Air Command fan will open. Now tap on the third option, Screen Write. You will then be able to jot some notes on the screenshot and you can save it by tapping on the checkmark at the top right. Later, you will find the image in the Gallery under screenshots.

Just hit the break for a quick video showing you how it works. Also, be sure to check out our other Galaxy Note 3 guides.

About the Author: Robert Nazarian

Robert lives in upstate New York where he was born and raised. Technology was always his passion. His first computer was a Radio Shack TRS80 Color that used a cassette tape to save programs, and his first laptop was a Toshiba T1200FB that sported a CGA greyscale screen and two 720kb floppy drives (no hardrive). From the early 90’s through late 2011, he only owned Motorola phones starting with the MircroTAC all the way through to the Droid X. He broke that streak when he bought the Galaxy Nexus. Now he's sporting a Galaxy Note 4, and absolutely loves it. He has a wonderful wife and a 6 year old son. In his free time he enjoys sports, movies, TV, working out, and trying to keep up with the rapid fast world of technology.

The screen write app used to save to the Screenshots folder. Now it only saves to the clipboard. Not sure why that changed. Anyone know how to change it back?
