Motorola’s master list of ICS updates has been updated. On the whole, there are a couple of changes including the addition of a few more devices, but for many one thing will stick out like a sore thumb: the RAZR. Previously Motorola announced an expected update for the RAZR in Q2. Not long after, we got a peak at ICS running on the RAZR which only further fueled the proposed update schedule. This recently revised update list paints a different picture. Apparently RAZRs the world over will be updated to ICS in Q2 except US RAZRs. Their chart shows that in the US, Q2 will be devoted to evaluation and planning.
The US RAZR certainly does sport different hardware than many of its worldwide counterparts but is that the sole reason for the delay? I wouldn’t be so sure. One thing is for sure, that extra time had better yield a bug-free release.
