TELUS HTC Desire HD update to Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread now live

We’ve gotten a number of emails from our friends up north telling us they received the Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread update for the Telus HTC Desire HD, The enhancements include:

HTC Sense 3.0 (improved Calendar, Messages, Camera, Gallery, Music, Weather, Lock Screen, Reader, and more)
HTC Watch – Rent or buy the latest movies and/or shows
Google Video Chat
Improved stability

If you haven’t received the update yet, you can check to see if you can manually pull it by going to Settings/About Phone/System Updates. Please let us know in the comments if you received the update and how things are working.

Tried 4 times now to download the Telus update – with wifi, mobile data (2x) and via PC USB connection. Each time I am told the download was corrupted.

i tried to update my phone manually but i don’t have a “System Updates” function…instead I have a “Software Update” function…and it tells me that my phone is up-to-date

2.3.5 has been updated, only bluetooth 3.0 is not showing paired but still usable

Received Mr Gingerbread tonight. Haven’t gone through all the features yet. Gallery will not open but the home pages are brilliant.

my htc desire hd received the update but it dont install. my phone get hanged right before installation. pl help
