Whilst NVIDIA's current focus is mainly on Windows Mobile, the company believe that by 2012 sales of the Android platform will have surpassed that of the Windows Mobile platform.
For that very reason NVIDIA have announced that their NVIDIA Tegra 2600 chip is currently being development with a with an optimized and accelerated Android release aimed at OEM development.
It is unclear how long it will be until we see the finished product, but the latest product information from NVIDIA details two prototype handsets apparently set for release in Q3 and Q4 of this year – the IAC S2 3Q09, and the YULONG N8 4Q09.
