Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc HD Spotted In Hong Kong, Coming To CES?

Sony Ericsson’s Xperia Arc HD aka “Nozomi” continues to make headlines and this time a blurry yet decent enough pic of the device has emerged thanks to the Chinese blog, TechOrz.  According to TechOrz’s source, the device is undergoing carrier testing and is expected to be announced at next year’s CES event in January.  The screen shots reveal a clear overhaul on Sony Ericsson’s on board UI though we’re still not entirely sure what official version of Android it will be released with.  In addition, the device still shows a glow effect on the hardware which runs around the entire lower half of the chassis (see pics).  We’re still not entirely sure what function that serves.  I’ve got my chips on a notification feature.

Here’s to hoping we see this bad boy at CES and can get our hands on the device ourselves for a walk around and review.  As far as specs go, expect to see a 1.5 GHz dual-core chip set, 1 GB of RAM, a 4.3-inch 720p display with a huge 12 mp camera.  We’ve got our fingers crossed that the handset will launch with ICS on board, however, if it launches with Gingerbread we’re hoping Sony Ericsson can deliver the new update in a timely manner.

More expectations with the ‘leak’ of the photos of  Sony Ericsson’s Xperia Arc HD. It should definitely be the talk of the town and with the launch of the device, we all expect a streamlined updates too!

I haven’t owned a SE phone for years but that does look tempting, especially if it’s ICS and well priced.

I would have to agree the lighting has to be for notifications which could be cool and hopefully not just a gimmick!

I will add this, why not release it under the Sony name with them buying Ericsson out? Or is it going to take a year or two to get rid of the SE name?
