Quick Look at Today’s Free Amazon App: Txt Msg Away Message

Sometimes we just can’t get to the phone. It may be that we just don’t want to be bothered, or maybe we didn’t bring our phone along somewhere that it could get ruined. In any case, Amazon’s free app of the day could prove useful to you. Txt Msg Away Message is able to autonomously send a text reply while you’re unavailable. I’ve been using this app for quite some time and have used it plenty during class, as well as while I’m out on the water. The app is ridiculously simple for its level of utility. The initial screen features a text box for your away message, an on/off toggle, and a dropdown box for previously saved away messages.

Hitting the menu will pop up the preferences pane where you’ll find more options like Away Time (Includes the time elapsed since the app was enabled into your reply), Contacts List Only mode (Autoreplies only sent to known contacts), Away Active Icon (turns the icon in the notification bar on and off), and Hide Alerts (stops notifications that autoreplies were sent).

That’s it! It’s simple, but sweet. Every Android phone should have this functionality and getting it today for free is a great way to do that. Get it in the Amazon Appstore.
