Whether it is rumors about the phone’s rear dual-camera setup or speculation on its price tag, the hype beast is moving up a gear in preparation for the Galaxy Note 8’s official launch on August 23. Today, a renowned leaker has provided the clearest view of the Galaxy Note 8 yet.
Unsurprisingly, these new images come courtesy of serial leaker, Evan Blass. First he tweeted a full frontal image of the Galaxy Note 8 in Midnight Black, and then he later posted an image showing the handset from all sides, including the S Pen. There really is hardly anything left to our imagination.
As shown in the embedded tweet, Samsung has adopted a dual-camera setup for the Galaxy Note 8, consisting of two sensors with what appears to be dual-LED flash modules adjacent. For better or worse, the Galaxy Note 8 is following in the Galaxy S8’s footsteps with the awkward placement of the fingerprint reader.
Just like the Galaxy S8, there’s a dedicated Bixby button (yippee) and the S Pen would appear to have the same insertion mechanism as the ill-fated Galaxy Note 7 and the Galaxy Note FE, which should prove satisfying when fidgeting in meetings.
I think it’s fair to say that the Galaxy Note 8 is shaping up to be a solid, if not revolutionary design and specification list, building on what the Galaxy S8 brought to the table earlier in the year. Saying that, the Galaxy Note 8 does sport the dual-camera setup that wasn’t quite ready when the Galaxy S8 launched, featuring two 12MP sensors with different focal lengths and OIS.
What do you think of the Galaxy Note 8 from what we know so far?
