LG's teasing another new feature for the upcoming G6 on their Instagram account, and they're not-so-subtly confirming that you'll be able to take their 2017 flagship into the swimming pool or shower. There's no indication of exactly how water resistant this thing will be, but we know it's happening.
Water resistance has been pretty standard fare for most flagship devices for the past few devices, with Sony starting the trend and Samsung pushing it since the Galaxy S5, excluding the GS6 family. It only makes sense for LG to jump on the bandwagon.
We're still a few weeks away from being officially shown LG's latest and greatest, but so far it's shaping up to be everything the G5 was with some more polished edges. The dual-camera system is coming back and the design looks very similar this year, but they're dropping the maligned modules and adding things like waterproofing to round out the device. The G5 was almost great, and the G6 is looking to perfect it.
