So, everyone is waiting to see what Samsung brings to the table tomorrow when it unveils the Galaxy Note 7, right? Wrong. Samsung's local rival, LG, has grabbed our attention today with the news that its successor to last year's V10, the V20, will run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box when it launches in September.

The news comes courtesy of LG's own website that simply states that “LG Electronics will be equipped with the close cooperation with Google ‘LG V20' is ‘who is Android 7.0 (Nougat)' on the latest Android operating system.”

“To launch new smartphones equipped with the ‘Android 7.0' is the first ‘V20'.”

Other than that, the page says that the “V20 is expected to set new standards in the premium phone (with) more expanded multimedia capabilities”.

It isn't entirely correct grammatically, but that's down to it being translated directly from Korean. But I digress, because you, the reader, aren't really fussed with expanded media capabilities are you? Like me, the only thing that grabbed you was the announcement that the V20 will sport Android 7.0 Nougat from launch. This is probably the most important thing we know about the upcoming V20 so far, with leaks on the handset more than a little scarce at the moment.

What features and specifications would you like to see the LG V20 offer when it launches in September? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

    1. I would hazard a guess that you’ll get three of your wishes, but it probably won’t be waterproof. That being said, it could be another way for LG to go, but historically they haven’t.
