Hands on Sharp’s Galapagos Smartphone With 3D Home Screens And All

Who would have thunk it?  Looks like Samsung TV’s aren’t the only thing getting 3D these days.  At CES, Sharp unveiled their new Galapagos smartphone with a 3D home screen effect called “Naked Eye 3D”, which can be toggled on and off as you see fit with the tap of a button.  No 3D eyewear necessary.  The device will come with Android 2.2 and a 3.8″ touch screen.  Check out the video below, courtesy of Android Central, and let us know what you think in the comments below.  Do you think you’d ever have a need for a 3D smartphone?  We don’t know, but it would sure make one heck of a feature to show off to your friends.
