As I sit here watching NFL Sunday, I feel the need, as many other nfl’ers do I’m sure, to play and manage my own football team on my Android. I’m not talking Fantasy pool either, but rather the mother of NFL Football Games, Madden 11. It’s been brought to Apple products already, and we know that EA Mobile is developing for launching on Android in 2011. I’m not sure I can wait that long.
With the onslaught of nextgen Android smartphones and tablets to come on the market in 2011, I have to say I can’t wait to play Madden 11 on a Notion Ink Adam while watching the Superbowl (if they both come out by then), but it may have to wait next year. At least by then I’ll be able to have ran my own league on my Android device in Madden 11, to legitimately make it to my own Superbowl. LOL. Wishful thinking.
Never mind just Madden, but I’m pretty excited to see a bunch of EA Sports games coming to Android, hopefully, Tiger Woods Golf, NHL 11, the list goes on. These are going to be great to play on tablets especially! Don’t get me wrong, I love playing them on PS3, but you have to either have 2 TV’s in the room to play and watch the real deal, or switch inputs constantly, having EA Mobile will be fun during the games…And EA knows it! EA CFO Eric Brown had this to say about Android development;
“So I think there’s a lot to happen in the future in Android, and we’re trying to position our mobile business to take advantage of that trend.”
