Samsung Galaxy Note 4 with Snapdragon 805 supposedly confirmed

With the official release of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 bearing down on us at the beginning of September, information about the specs for Samsung’s latest flagship continue to surface. The latest comes from a ZDNet Korea source that says Samsung has definitely agreed to produce some versions of the Galaxy Note 4 with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chip. This would be in addition to a version equipped with the Eynos 5433 processor that appears to be the more powerful of the two versions.

Samsung agreeing to produce two versions of a device, one with an in-house chip and one with a third-party sourced chip, is normal for the company. It is unclear whether Samsung had planned to follow their historical precedent all along though as the source indicates Qualcomm had to agree to a steep discount on the chips in order to get Samsung to agree to use them. Reports indicate this move has upset LG which is a big buyer of Qualcomm Snapdragon chips and think they should be able to get a similar discount.

Can’t help but laugh at Lg they think they are a legitimate vender of Qualcomm now. If it wasn’t for Samsung Qualcomm wouldn’t be as successful as they are today.
